their kids like flamini diarra and hleb were meant to do something this year according to their youth plan, but they got sold off coz when these kids become good, arsenal were too tight to afford to keep them. this will keep happening and in 4 years time again, there will probably be another bunch of kids who aren't ready, to replace the ones that nicked off. etc etc etc arsenal is stuck with mediocrity for as long as they service their debt whilst trying to flog real estate

i agree arsenal have good youth but 1) Kids don't win trophies as they have proven the past seasons 2) Thier kids play in the reserve team and there are simply better back up teams than arsenals (eg Nani, Anderson, Tevez, Foster, Giggs, Rafael, O'Shea are all reserve players and so was Silvestre, he's starting every game for arsenal) 3) Their first team is full of the most overrated hacks in the premier league (except for fabregas and nasri)

Arsenal have some good young players, but apart from Fabregas none are superstars just yet... Kids like Nasri, Walcott & Sagna show promise though... But on the other side players like Eboue, Bendtner, Song and even Denilson are not as good as Arsene Wegner may believe... Then there is the players who miss half a season through injury (Rosicky, RVP) and some overrated older players like Gallas, Silvestre & Adebayor. What Arsenal need is experience and superstars in the key positions, centre back and defensive midfield.. Once they get this, they may once again win something... Until then they will fight for 4th spot...

The pattern might be that you don't know what you're on about... Vela only came to the club this summer from loan and has been available almost the whole time. As for your 'overrated old' Diaby is 22 and Senderos is 23. Oh, plus Senderos isn't currently at the club.

Arsenal's youngsters are among the best in the world. Wenger has spent much time and money in that department as it shows with the victory against Wigan. However winning has never been there problem...its doing it consistently thats been there downfall and i think we can all agree the youngsters have a lot to do with that.

shut up fools, you obviously dont know jack about football in england if you think arsenals kids are overrated. Jack Wilshere is going to be a England star, whilst Gibbs, Hoyte and Simpson all have bright futures ahead. If any of you managed to watch Arsenal Vs Wigan in the Carling Cup you wouldnt be talking about this subject, Wilshere commanded the midfield and hes only 16.

Yeah they may of looked good in the Carling Cup against Wigan, but you cant predict the future and say Wilshere will be a star... His only 16 and playing senior football in the Premiership and being a star week in week out is a lot different than playing in a Carling Cup match... Once he performs in the premiership you can then call him a future star... Or if he is the next England star, why isn't he playing in the premiership now ?

at 16 years old, you dont want a player playing week in, week out, because hes just going to get burnt out and will probably fade. I think Wenger said its best to manage these good, young players as he has to monitor them. Also, if they play week in week out at 16, they could lose passion and motivation for the game. It is true that you cant judge players on 1 Carling Cup game, but from the look of just how confident, skillfully good on the ball he was its a good indication that he can really go on and make a name for himself, hes got all the ingredients, it really just comes down to how he is managed

Plus Wilshere was awesome when he came off the bench away against Blackburn in the league...

its out first team that is soft and one dimensional.
wilshire, vela, simpson, randall, lansbury, gibbs all have futures at arsenal.
lets just hope they are not replacemtns for fabregas, walcott, van persie, clichy ect.

Would be interesting if they all stay around long enough to make a decent impact. I remember hearing years ago about pennant and bentley being the next big thing... lets hope these guys stay at arsenal
