What is it with these emails? So far I've received 3 emails in my Sportal inbox today, encouraging me to visit alternative sports forums.
Frankly, if I was interested in another forum, I'd go looking for it, using Google or Yahoo or some other search engine, or by asking someone on here if they knew of a 'better' or different one.
I shouldn't need to deal with this spam.

Especially since most of them are *****py forums without a proper domain and software. What a waste of time.... you are never going to have a successful forum without that.

They sent me one a few weeks back but then they started doing stupid stuff on here to attract people over to theirs and I refused after that.

This is a pretty simple thing to understand, Roosters1. How would YOU like it if someone was over on your forum, emailing your members and encouraging them to go elsewhere?
Seeing as you are today's main perpetrator, I'm not surprised you are here defending the idea, but I can assure you, the powers that be on Sportal will not be pleased.
And nor would you be if it happened to you.
