By Brent Zerafa November 14, 2008 12:00am IT'S hard to believe but trainer Tony Vasil believes this flashy Redoute's Choice colt is a better mover than his older siblings. Coubertin, little brother of multiple Group One winners and now expensive stallions Elvstroem and Haradasun, had his first public trial at Cranbourne on Monday. "I'd dare say, of the three horses, he's the best mover of the lot of them. He's got a great action," Vasil said. "Even though he is an earlier foal than the other two, he's been much more immature both physically and mentally. "He might be directed towards the autumn. He's a nice horse." Part-owner Frank Meduri said it was hoped Coubertin could have started his career during the Queen's Birthday long weekend meeting at Swan Hill, like Elvstroem and Haradasun. "It would have been nice but I'm sure Tony will be able to find a nice race for him in country Victoria to kick things off," Meduri said. "The penny has finally dropped with him and we're starting to get excited." source: http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,24649472-5006070,00.html
anyone else think he could be better than his brothers?

He would want to be damn good to be better than them two, but in saying that, Vasil knows better than me. His trial was a nice win on the steel, but time not great. Wait and see.

Good for you. No-one cares. Haradasun wrote:and haradasun was far superior to elvstroem although elvstroem was a more consistent performer lol what is that meant to mean? Haradasun may have been 'better' if not for the always trotted out line of feet issues? Elvstroem more consistent? True, but isn't consistency at the top level a reason to rate Elvstroem ahead of Haradasun? Ask anyone, which horse would they have preferred to own for racetrack performances.. Elvstroem will (should be) the answer every time. Look at the races he won compared to Haradasun. Haradasun far superior to Elvstroem rofl what absolute garbage. If anything, the opposite could be said to be true. 2 different horses, 2 different careers, both G1 winners, both won a G1 o/s... I don't usually go to any effort to compare retired racehorses with one another and rather just admire the good ones for their on track deeds, but bl00dy hell, to say that Haradasun was far superior to Elvstroem is amongst the biggest bullsh.it ever posted on this forum. As for Coubertin, due to his breeding and famous relations, he has always been well followed and thrust in our faces. He basically had his own website a day after his birth The reports he'll be better than the two of the combined have long time been bandied about... pimpmaster took the words right outta my mouth. Cox Plate calls are ridiculously premature. It'd be nice to see him get there however..

They're always going to come out with those statements as even though he hasn't raced yet, he's already a stallion prospect. These blokes are businessmen...

It'd b amazing what circles of gold is worth is worth as a broadmare...
Not sure how many years left in her shes got, but u'd hav to think she'd b the most valuable mare going around...
somewhere around $15-$20 mill?
I know that massively above the record but considering they're asking $10m for 1/2 share in samantha miss (not a chance in the world anyone would pay close to that) surely it'd hav to be close to this figure, if not more...
