england= only lancashire and yorkshire play it not a lot of facillities and is not even the main sport(second to soccer) Australia only played in queensland or nsw in nsw the crowds are dying and soccer is rapidly overtaking it don't make me laugh Soccer in QLD will never take over league. How the A-League are able to support to more QLD teams I will never know.

Yep raiderdave's on the spot there. The fact that crowds have been declining doesn't mean that people aren't watching the games at all. Thing is the price of things in our everyday lives are going up, and most families can't afford to get out to the footy as much as they'd like anymore. And on top of that the fact that some people would rather spend the money they can spare on a foxtel subscription so they can watch everygame in the comfort of their homes. The Nrl don't seem to get that bit. They made their bed with News Limited and Channel 9 and now they've gotta sleep in it

No it's an absolute joke, I'm surprised you Aussies take this farce of a sport seriously.
But it will always be big in Australia, as Australians love to dominate in sports nobody cares about to feed their colonial inferiority complex.
