Hopkins - Calzaghe 2 in WALES WINNER TAKES ALL it wasnt a contest. roy was never going to hurt him.

He wanted RJJ due to the big money that fight would generate but he is also willing to fight Calzaghe in Wales
Had RJJ won, the Hopkins v RJJ fight would have been the biggest of all time. But he didn't so scr ap that idea. Depending on weight class, I really doubt Hopkins could beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe comprehensively beat RJJ at light heavy, so Hopkins wouldn't have the same size / power advantage as he did over Pavlik. I don't think the fight will happen because Hopkins would love to go out a winner, and I can't see him doing that if he fought Calzaghe. If I could be promoter, here's what I hope would happen. Roy Jones Jr: Retire Joe Calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins Mikkel Kessler vs Chad Dawson @ light heavy Winner of Calzaghe/Hopkins vs Winner of Kessler/Dawson. To prove the undisputed king of 175lb I'd love to see Calzaghe vs Dawson

Surely De La Hoya wont want to be left out of the action with who is undoubtedly now one of the main drawcards in Boxing.
I hadn't seen too much of Calzaghe up until a few years ago when he fought sakio bika (tough fight), I had dismissed him as a hometown hero, but his cardio is insane as someone mentioned before - he gets better the longer the fight goes for...
