This was a horrible game to watch. Mostly due to the ref in my opinion who had another poor game. The ref loves to dish out yellow cards but many of his calls were questionable.
What about the scrums?!
A good 20mins (which is a 1/4 of the whole game) was wasted watching this reset over and over. I don't care what you purist scrum people say, this can't be good for international rugby.
Other than that the All Blacks did enough to win. I like the new class of All Blacks 08, each of them played very well with extra cred to that young lock and Kahui.

No idea why the fu.ck we aren't playing the ELV's. The northern hemisphere have their heads up their arses, hopefully the IRB know the way to go.

They were using a modified version of the ELVs, I think the only change from the 3N ones was the free-kicks for breakdown offences changed back to Penalties.
Ref just loved blowing his whistle - made a couple of calls against the Scots early, but then seemed to forget afterwards that they were still transgressing constantly, but pinging the ABs all the time.
Very messy game from both sides, ABs forgot their structure altogether.
Mackintosh was bullied by the ref and his opposite and lost his nerve for a long time - talk about baptism by fire, he had the hardest job of the whole pack.

I thought Messam had a strong game as did Weepu, Kahui and Afoa. Everyone did their job without being too flash...The Scots were never in the hunt and their attack was fairly ordinary at times. Barnes is poor excuse for a referee and some of his calls left not only fans scratching their heads but so were the players. If the Irish think they have a chance of toppling these blokes after that lame display the Canadians offered up they are in for a huge shock this weekend... The All Blacks are naming a near full strength team that should see the tourists get the cash.
