"Just received the text: Alex McLeish's sacking is taking longer than expected because he's trying to draw his job rather than lose it"

Villa cant offically announce Mcleish departure until he emptys his desk. That will take time because of all the draws

heh, nah, I don't even think the off season will give us our usual boost of optimism considering how we finished.

ALEX FERGUSON has come up with the most bizarre reason yet for Manchester United’s title defeat — City were allowed to finish after his side.

The Red Devils thought they had retained the crown after winning at Sunderland.

But 13 seconds later news filtered through that City had beaten QPR in injury time.

Fergie said: “The Premier League needs to look into it.

"No team should be finishing after the other. We thought we’d done it.”

Laughing Classic one Fergie. Why not pass a rule where your only allowed 3 mins injury time regardless. Idiot.

I did read a good quip after the it was all over.

"Nice of Fergie to lend Mancini his watch for the afternoon"

Given how he's carrying on now, I bet he regrets the decision.

Liverpool fans celebrating City winning the league is like celebrating another man giving your partner an orgasm cos you can't do the job.

The irony is amazing, slamming their rivals for finishing second on goal difference when their own team finishes closer to relegation (16 points) than the title (37 points).
SIXTEEN POINTS off relegation Laughing

you could also say it's like watching your rival lose his job, but watching from the centrelink queue.

still though, when you're in the centrelink queue, you need everything you can get to cheer you up. Smile

It was the way they won it you goose, Mancini owning Fergie in the mind games, saying his own team was down out and had no chance of winning.

Man U being 8 pts clear and "choking". Man U fans celebrating the title, only to have taken in injury time... etc...etc... I'm sure you'd be doing the same if it was us in that position.

Great finale to the season it was even though it was a pretty miserable season for Liverpool still it was great to see some great teams fight it out...which hopefully Liverpool find themselves in that position in the not too distant future....very optimistic.
