Bangladesh: 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Imrul Kayes, 3 Junaid Siddique, 4 Aftab Ahmed, 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 7 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 8 Naeem Islam, 9 Abdur Razzak, 10 Rubel Hossain, 11 Shadahat Hossain
England: 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Michael Carberry, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Paul Collingwood, 6 Ian Bell, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Tim Bresnan, 10 Graeme Swann, 11 Steven Finn
Carberry and Finn making their debuts for England. With Graeme Swann batting at number 10 England bat pretty deep. This is pretty much the top 6 that will play in Brisbane later this year with the exception of Strauss coming back in for Carberry. Does anyone know if Jimmy Anderson is injured or is he just being rested. Graham Onions has gone home with an injury.
Bangladesh have won the toss and sent England in.

England are paying $1.25 to win on Bet365.
Seems like crazily long odds. Do the Bangas ever beat any serious team?

Well at the end of day 1 England are in control and won't lose it from here, Cook currently not out on 158. 3/374, WIll be interesting to see if England can get some runs quick on day 2, then try and bowl Bangladesh out a couple of times.

Cook ended up making 173, Collingwood got 145 and Bell got a handy 84 before England declared for 6/599. In reply the only Bangladesh player putting up any resistance is Tamim Iqbal, who is currently 81 not out, though Mahmudullah got 51 before getting out. Bangladesh 5154 at the end of day 2.

Despite Bangladesh's massive 5154 in half a day they are following on
Actually england is batting, why is beyond me?

Actually england is batting, why is beyond me? coz Cook wants to score another 100, however this one will be a meaningless one since it adds no value to anything really, and the English top order wants to improve their batting stats when the banglasdesh would just be trying to restict the flow of runs (it's definitely not TEST cricket). This is one thing I absolutely hate. Sides are 250+ runs behind and follow-ons aren't enforced. I've seen Australia do it so often and now england aswell. They should make the follow-on complusory.

Actually england is batting, why is beyond me? Well they do have a massive target to chase down, no wonder they're batting again.

Could still be a close game but I can't see Bangladesh chasing the 434 lead that England currently have, and you'd expect they will score at least 50 or so more while losing these 5, and that's if Bell decides not to follow up his nice 84 from the first innings. There is a very slight chance, but don't see England losing this one.

It's only Day 4 today - England should have this wrapped up first thing Day 5 if anything.
