FIGJAM timeline
Leaves Brisbane "to play in premierships with the Pies"..........ends up losing 2 gfs to brisbane Retires..........Collingwood win their first premiersip in 20 years
Takes over supposed "dynasty" from Malthouse and is 1-2 after 3 rounds including a 10 goal loss

Why shouldn't someone of Ball's ilk be able to choose the club he wants to play for?..... The Pies were on the cusp of a Premiership - St Kilda didn't pay him the respect he deserved....
A win for the Pies and Luke Ball I say - a massive loss to the Saints.....
All the very best to Luke in his recovery....

Shame about the injury to Ball, I hate seeing good players missing a year of footy with a knee reco.

i understand what collingwood are going through.
Hawks 2009/into 2010 had no depth after hit with injuries and had poor performances.
my turn now
Sucked In.

Leon Davis would be a very handy bloke to have right now. Probably a worse move than Melbourne dumping McDonald.

Ball Game OverCOLLINGWOOD has confirmed Luke Ball will miss the rest of the 2012 season due to a knee injury.
Magpies football manager Geoff Walsh has told Melbourne radio Triple M scans taken on Saturday revealed Ball would require a knee reconstruction after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Carlton on Friday night.
"Unfortunately the scan is showing he's ruptured his ACL," a clearly shattered Walsh said.
"He will undergo surgery at some stage early in the week. It's a terrible blow for both Luke and ourselves, obviously."
Ball will almost certainly miss the rest of the 2012 season after the Pies confirmed late on Saturday he would undergo a traditional knee reconstruction.
Ball left the field early with a knee injury before returning, but lasted only 17 minutes before the ACL injury. http://www.afl.com.au/Ne...wsId/133050/Default.aspx

You would have to think he would retire... been a great player and would make a great midfield coach in teaching kids how to run with players and tackle properly. Best of luck to you Luke whatever you do!
Nathan Brown obvious in...fingers crossed he holds up as with Reid and Tarrant missing relying on him.
Would they try and give Didak a game? Obv not with Anzac Day but surely against Port it wouldn't hurt to see how he goes.
