Simple answer is that she is no longer a horse, she is a "Rock Star". She has already beaten everything worthy of starting against her ... what would she proven by beating the lesser lights up here? She belongs to the people now, so she is on the first leg of her "world tour". The horse and the connections have earned the right to hand pick her fights. Never been to Adelaide, so fitting that she goes there to spread the love ... 30,000+ turned up to see HER ALONE today. Goodwood day will be the same. She has now raced in every major racing capital in Australia* ... now for the world! *She won't ever race in Perth ... what good horse would?

The Winterbottom in perth is the obvious spring/summer target if she races on. Then the Lightning and finally the T.J.Smith at the revamped randwick on derby day next easter. Btw-More Joyus was FAR more impressive than nellie today-apparently the engraver had already started writing “Atlant...” on the Cox Plate trophy. MJ, Mosheen and maybe even Pierro might line up. Those that finished behind Singo’s mare can forget it.

Did anyone think (like I was) that BC struggled a little today?? It seemed to me that it took a lot more from Nolen than usual to keep her mind on the job in the straight and she shifted in on the line!!

Barakey just won by 5 over in the west today to extend his unbeaten streak to 8. He will be more seasoned when the Winterbottom is run and will be a worthy challenger.

why wasn't barakey in Adelaide or Sydney on the weekend Semi, instead of beating up hacks at Northam ?

His trainer dodged the Winterbottom when the squib was rumoured to be heading that way. They were talking about the Oakleigh Plate for Barakey for a while, but the coming spring was always earmarked as when he’d be ready to rumble with the top tier sprinters. He’s got Power Princess-3rd to BC in the Sangster-covered and he runs time so he’d make nellie work through her gears.

I reckon she would run in the Eye Liner at Ipswich with 70kg before they would ever risk taking her to that backwater of horse racing, W.A.! ... the connections only need to have a chat with Roger James if they are ever considering it

Thank you Dr E. wrote:I reckon she would run in the Eye Liner at Ipswich with 70kg before they would ever risk taking her to that backwater of horse racing, W.A.! ... the connections only need to have a chat with Roger James if they are ever considering it Roger’s just a sore loser-what ever happened to that legal challenge? The upheld protest in the Magic Millions where the stewards were going to lodge their own objection and then make a judgement had the rider not protested himself was much, MUCH worse.

I did read that today. Another thing.......What is it about Morphettville that seems to produce slower times then at other venues?? Is it the turn into the home straight??
